What Is PhotoPing.com?
PhotoPing.com is like
Weblogs.com (or any of the other
blog ping services), except that it's for photos and videos.
Ping us and we'll store the information you give us, then we'll present it to search engines crawling this site in the form
of
RSS and
PhotoRss feeds. After reading those feeds, search engines
will know not only what the latest photos and videos are, but when and where they were taken, and what they're about.
That's right, no more guess work by the search engines about what your photos are about. Ping PhotoPing.com with all the information about your photos — title, description, subject, credits, location, geo location (lat, lon), tags, etc. — and you will be making your
photos more searchable.
How It Works
It's easy to ping PhotoPing.com with your photo or video information. You can:
After PhotoPing.com receives your ping — regardless of whether you tell us, or your photo software tells us —
we will put your photo or video at the top of the "Recent Pings" list where everyone else can see it, and into our RSS and PhotoRss feeds so that search engines can index them.
